Vidya Valley does it again! The Guardian Tutor System.

For the first time in India, a day school has implemented a system for the pastoral care and well-being of the children. We call it the "Guardian Tutor" method. Our system includes all the children from Std 5 and above.

We introduced the Guardian Tutor system a week before the Diwali vacations. It is now a couple of months since its implementation and it seems to be working well. So we would like to tell you about it.

We have adapted the "Guardian Tutor" system from the best traditions of British Schools. Some of those schools are hundreds of years old! As we grow and evolve, so will our Guardian Tutor system.

Did we hear someone exclaim, "What IS this Guardian Tutor system!!!" ? We will let that be homework for parents. Visit our "Downloadable Documents" section and download the "Handbook on the Guardian Tutor System at Vidya Valley"**

On Open-Days some parents have felt inconvenienced by the long wait to meet the teachers. Well, this time we may have found a solution. Parents (of children in Std 5 and above) will now meet the Guardian Tutor instead of a class-teacher and many subject teachers. We hope that this will result in a better quality of parent-teacher interaction, which will benefit the child in the long run.
