I feel so happy writing this letter to you and to your parents. Congratulations to ALL of you and to your parents for a job very well done. This was your first major hurdle in life and you crossed it with flying colours. All of you will do better as you go in to colleges.

Congratulations to the teachers who have honed your skills. They deserve all your thanks and good wishes. You did not always make it easy for them!

You all know that I do not like to put much store with percentages because they reflect a very small part of your personality. Your teachers and I am aware of the personal challenges that many of you have faced and overcome and we respect you for that. Most of you were able to take the pressure of the examinations in your stride and lead a balanced life during the last few months. That is a very fine quality and you must cherish and nurture it.

I would like to make a special mention of Richa Mane as the student who showed the most improvement. Our two Korean students - Hye In Jeon and Man Hee Lee - overcame the severe handicap of having to learn English from scratch and then appearing for the ICSE examinations. Their achievement is very commendable.
